Facing fears with Creature Comforts

Last week, Ez challenged her Twitter community to talk honestly about “the things we are afraid to tell you” on our blogs and the role fear plays in our lives. It was inspired by this terrific post by Jess Constable. Ez and Jess speak honestly and courageously on their own blogs. And it seems that increasingly bloggers are talking openly about their fear of being judged in a swelling sea of perfectly styles parties, outfits and children. I was recently lucky enough to take part in a beautiful art-inspired brunch with my Emerson, Melissa and her Crumb. It was the ultimate Mother’s Day celebration (just a little early) and was filled with whimsy, spice and everything nice. Check out the sneak peek at A Subtle Revelry. P.S. All things peach are pretty much rocking my visual world these days. I’m declaring it my official color of summer. I cannot get enough. 1984 here I come. Photo credit: Reverie-Daydream

Our favorite face painter/balloon artist painted little hands and cheeks and made balloons Read More →

Talking creativity at Classic Play

The lovely Jennifer of Classic Play invited me to talk about creativity and how to nurture it in a family. I could talk about this subject for days and I’m thrilled and honored to be a part of her Creative Family Series. It’s always such a good read and it was nice to take a step back and see how far I’ve come on my own creative journey. Pop on over and check it out and let us know how you encourage creativity in your own family life. I’m always looking for new inspiration.
